I made these cupcakes for our friends daughters birthday who loves Elmo! I got the red polka dot wrappers at Michaels, which were perfect for the theme. Then make a basic cupcake with white buttercream frosting so the Elmo cookie sticks to the cupcake. I used an oreo half for the base of Elmo, then dabbed red frosting in a circle, then fill in half the circle. Last roll orange dyed fondant into ovals for the nose and white fondant rolled into little circles for the eyes. I took a toothpick and with black dye, dotted each eyeball. I like using part fondant because it comes out looking a lot cleaner. The kids loved it, they all eat the eye balls first...
